Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 lbs Lamb shoulder, cut into stew pieces
  • 1 medium red onion, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup olive oil, divided
  • 3 3
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsps turmeric
  • 1 pinch saffron threads
  • 1/4 cup NH Sauvignon Blanc
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 lb prunes (about 2 cups)
  • 3-4 tbsp mild honey
  • toasted sesame seeds
  • toasted almonds
Directions

Place all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook 10 hours on low, or until lamb is tender. Top with toasted sesame seeds and toasted almonds.
